2019-09-06 - Cozy weather ------------------------------------------------------------------- Today the weather is great. It has cooled down - from the 30 degrees celsius i wrote about earlier - to a nice and fresh 18 degrees C. Furthermore tonight it has been raining pretty much the whole evening. Sitting here with a cup of tea and some cookies makes me very content. It is noticable the days are already getting shorter, as it is already getting pretty dark at 20:45 in the night. I guess i like the autumn and winter seasons because of this exact feeling i'm having now; Sitting inside with a cup of hot tea, quietly tinkering away with some silly computer stuff. Nothing to worry about, being happy simply to be dry and warm inside my house, while the rain is ticking away on the window in my roof. Since the weather is bad, and it is dark already there is no need to go outside, so i'm happily isolated in this small room in my house. This helps me focus i guess. And the focus is not on anything in particular, but on sitting inside, figuring stuff out, while drinking tea. Actually, i think i will make a new cup of tea in a bit and spend some time reading a book. Or maybe i will play another bit of adventuring with Dungeon Crawl. Hmm. Also i want to pick up some programming things i have abandoned before the summer. Ah well, lets hope it stays dark and rainy for some longer, so i don't get distracted by everything happening outside. :) This gopherspace thing is also quite cosy i feel, so very suitable for this weather. There is something about plaintext. I don't know if it is some kind of melancholy to earlier times, or if it is just that plain text is just quieter, less present, and more patient or something. Hmm, maybe i should think about that for a while; why is plaintext so great? Maybe it is a bit like being in a small cozy room, in dark rainy weather with a cup of tea. Being isolated from the crazy outside world (the big web) and being quite happy with the quiet, and the focus. I'm gonna get a hot cup of tea and read a book.
