2019-11-24 - End of year cleaning

The end of the year is nearing and i start to feel the urge to 
clean up things. Not only physical stuff needs to be cleaned, but 
also plenty of digital stuff. And this is something nice to do in a 
couple of weeks during Christmas holidays.

I'd like to further minimize all my digital files, and ensure to 
only keep the essentials. My magic number would be a max of 128mb 
of personal data. Then the next step is to check/update my backup 
methods, and check/update my encryption workflow for this data.

I think 128mb ought to be more than enough. But i'd have to be 
selective about what to keep and what to trash. Which is exactly 
why i like to use such a limit.

On the internet front, i need to remove or garble some internet 
accounts that were made during earlier years and are now left 
unused. It's a shame that there is no standardized (and mandatory) 
"remove all my data" button for webshops/fora etc. The best thing 
is not to register for anything really.

I am looking forward for the end of the year, like i seem to do 
more often. Somehow it feels good to leave the past year behind and 
step into a new one.  Let's bring on 2020!
