Marvel has supplanted God in American culture. I mean, yeah, extermist Christians have done a lot of harm in their own ways, but at least the religion gave us some cool stuff, like a book of poetry and some classical art. But now, with this manufactured bread and circuses, all we get nowadays is memes about Thanos' asshole and people who can't comprehend politucs unless they force allegories of their favorite pop culture media everywhere.
