1. Describe what it takes to be a discple of Christ
2. Find ways  on how to  live out  the call to  be Christ's

*** DIFFERENCE BETWEEN APOSTLE AND DISCIPLE
A discple is a follow of Christ, while an Apostle is each
of the tweleve cheif discples of Jesus christ
*** APOSTLES OF JESUS
The tweleve apostles of  Jesus were his constant companions
from place  to place,  They carry  out missionary  works, A
missionary  work is  of  going from  one  place to  another
preaching and witnessing Jesus

**** PETER
Peter is a fisher and the first discple of Jesus, he's also
the first pope.
**** JAMES
He is called  as "The greater", he is the  brother of Jesus
and the first apostle to be martyred
**** JOHN
He  is  a  prominent  leader  and  one  of  Jesus'  closest
confidants, he's a man of action
**** ANDREW
He is also  a fisherman like his brother Peter,  He is also
the first apostyle called by Jesus, He is a man of courage
**** BARTHOLOMEW
He is one of the important and authoritative leaders of the
early church,  and helped  spread the gospel  to particular
regions 
**** JAMES (2)
He wrote  the Epistle of  James, preached in  Palestine and
Egypt and was crucified in Egypt
**** JUDAS
Sadly, he  betrayed Jesus for  thirty pieces of  silver and
afterwards, hanged himself out of guilt
**** JUDE
He is called Jude "Trinomious" which means a man with three
names,  he is  only mentioned  a handful  times in  the New
testament 
**** MATTHEW
He is also known as "Levi" and wrote the Gospel of Matthew,
He  is one  of  the evangelist  (good news),  He  is a  tax
collector 
**** PHILIP
He is a missionary in Greece, Syria, and Phyrgia, He stayed
with Jesus for three years
**** SIMON
He is also known as Simon the Zealot, He is closed to Jesus
and witnessed his miracles and teachings
**** THOMAS
He  is  known as  doubting  Thomas  because of  him  having
doubted the  Resurrection of  Jesus and  demanding physical
proof of the wounds of Christ's Crucifixion


*** PURPOSE
To continue his  mission around the world, If  his work was
to continue, He had to gather around him an inner circle of
men who  come to understand  his purpose and his  task, and
who would be willing to carry it further without him

To  extend his  mission to  the world,  in our  time today,
Jesus is calling all people  to be his disciples, to preach
the good news of salvation
