* BASIC POSITIONS OF FEET ** OBJECTIVES 1. Describe the nature and background of the dance 2. execute the skills needed in the dance 3. foster cooperation and participation through group work 4. show coordination in both mental and psychomotor skills and; 5. appreciate the dance as part of the Filipino culture; ** POSITIONS *** FEET 1. Stand with heels together, toes pointing forward 45 degrees apart 2. move right foot for about twelve inches to the right, point toes forward, maintain feet parallel with each other 3. Left foot is kept in place, Right heel touches the middle part of the left foot 4. left foot is kept in place, move right heel in line with the heel of the rear foot 5. with left foot in place, right heel touches the toes of the left foot *** ARMS 1. Encircle both arms at waist level with palms facing inward 2. Extend both arms sidewards, slightly rounded at shoulder leve with palms facing upward 3. Raise right arm upward in half circle over the head with the left arm remaining in its position 4. Right arm remains in its position as in the 3rd position, left arm back to the 1st position 5. Raise left warm to have both arms encircled overhead.
