2024-02-06 from the editor of ~insom ------------------------------------------------------------ In the morning I fly back to Canada. I've missed my wife and family so much. This experience has been -- odd. It's had its good points, and I am glad I came here, but the second week in the AirBnB was probably a bad call (I spent it mostly alone, while for the first week my sister, and sometimes my brother, was with me). My diet is all over the place; not in a calorie counting way, but in a "I think I need vitamins I am not getting" or "I am hungry at 9PM" way, due to the irregular nature of fitting food into my day (and the kind of food that someone who doesn't want to sit alone in a restaurant or cook a complicated meal for one will eat). My sleep though: that's been amazing. Everyone that I talk to here is basically keeping to "normal person" hours. Going back to my home, where my wife sleeps totally detached from the clock and my step-son and daughter-in-law are also all over the place, is not going to feel good or be good for sleep.
