Because he can't think for himself.  He can only parrot the talking points of
his masters.

And remember that while many people here come into the discussion with an
attutide of "I think I'm right, but I'm willing to listen to you and you might
prove me wrong", people like Al come into the discussion with an attitude of
"I'm right.  Let me explain why you are wrong."
