Surprise Bouquet
1. Ben Model, silent film keyboardist, entrepreneur, lecturer, co-host and 
accompanist for the YouTube channel Silent Comedy Watch Party, thanked me
via email for the congratulatory card I sent (I also sent one to the co-host
Steve Massa), and asked me for permission to read it on the March 19 2023
episode celebrating the third anniversary of the channel [1]. 

2. I learned from email, that two fosstodon.org Mastodon accounts credited me
 for bringing their attention to the books _Resisting the Attention Economy_
by Jenny Odell and _Stolen Focus_ by Johann Hari, and disclosed how following
 the guidance of those books improved their lives.
They had read of those two books either from my gopher phlog, probably the sdf
 one, or from agk (also sdf), who may have mentioned my gopher phlog. I love that more
people are using gopher, and I love to know what people are reading.

I am watching "Avanti!" (1972, Billy Wilder; starring Jack Lemmon, Juilet
Mills, Clive Revill, Italian personae) and am remembering when I flew to
Japan where my brother had died suddenly in September 2014. I did not know
anything that was going on. Even the memory of being at the back of the line,
 keeping my driver/translator/brother's good friend waiting, for Passport 
Control and Customs, when Wendell Armbruster is told, after a passport/clothing
 switch imbroglio with a Dr. Fleischman, he must go to the back of the line
to have his passport stamped.
