MARE TRANQUILLITATIS PEOPLE'S CIRCUMLUNAR DESSERT

Strawberry Fantasy

Take 1.4 kg of strawberries and thinly slice them lengthwise. Mix 240ml of
brandy, triple sec, Cointreau, or Grand Marnier with a heaping spoonful or
two of sugar and pour over the berries. Slice a store-bought pound cake, or
muffins or biscuits, and use the slices to line the bottom of a deep glass
baking dish. Cover with a layer of macerated strawberries, then a layer of
whipped cream, then another layer of pound cake, more strawberries, and
whipped cream. Pop the deep dish in the fridge for about two hours. Scoop
and serve as is or with ice cream.
