If  you're  doing something  clandestine,  whether  it's growing  a
bunch  of  marijuana  illegally  under  grow-lights  (or  something
more nefarious)  or running  a tightly-packed  server farm  in your
back  bedroom to  do... something,  or perhaps  a large  3D printer
manufacturing AR-15  'lowers' you have  to think about  waste heat,
because the  authorities are  looking for it,  they have  tools for
finding it.

Heat-sink  technology   may  become  essential  for   any  sort  of
clandestine  or  quasi-legal  shenanigans.  Like  the  purchase  of
suspicious  quantities  of  nitrogen-based  fertilizers  and  other
bomb-making  materials the  makings for  heat-sing equipment  might
begin to be monitored by the authorities.
