I prefer this world. By which I mean Lain's world where screaming imbeciles playing games, genuinely have their minds broken by 5G (spoilers). In our world, game streamers make millions screaming like little bitches. The videos stretch into the two hour mark, using endless bandwidth to contribute relatively little of value. Who am I to talk? This phlog has been nothing but an embarrassment for all involved, but at least it wasting kilobytes of bandwidth and storage. The only thing I'm really wasting is time, and that dear reader is your time, as I wrote this like a last minute assignment in the space of twenty minutes. This episode has a powerful message hidden somewhere about gaming abuse, it reminds me of a sims addiction where I played it so intensely over three months that my mind would be trapped in the game while sleeping. The simple graphics, sounds and rules burned into my psyche, turning my brain into a really shitty emulator. Now we repeat memes to eachother in everyday life, maybe we always did. We'll never know for sure. As a adult I can finally relate to Lain's weird pseudo-father that we shouldn't confuse real life with internet, all it took was dabbing to convince me.
