Anti-Google sentiment

A very quick entry tonight in my snatch of free time.  I found the following
article on Google's new "AMP" technology via a link on my GNUSocial timeline:

The Register is not exactly mainstream, but it's close enough that I was
(pleasantly) surprised to see such an explicitly and firmly anti-Google article.
One of the things that I've found disturbing about the modern internet is just
how hard it is to find any frank and candid criticism of a lot of the major
players, and Google in particular.
