     Cycling/s24o bike route, (circumlunar), 09/12/2018

Wrote about  s24o earlier today[1]. That  campsite I thought
might be doable, I'm not so sure. I drove the route today to
check it out. It's country highway the whole way, with maybe
a mile or two of gravel at the end. The speed limit is 55mph
almost the entire  way, with cars going  60mph+, no shoulder
at all  in many areas, and  very hilly. It looks  to me like
the kind  of road to  bike on  if you want  to get hit  by a
truck.

I suppose the search will need  to continue, or I'll need to
muster up  some courage.  It is possible  that I  could take
gravel backroads  all the  way there,  I haven't  checked. I
don't know what that would be like on my street bike though.

On the positive side, I  checked out two campsites, and both
were pretty.  I might take  the kids out there  one weekend,
and bring the folding bike with to use while we're there.
