Ban WhatsApp

I recently read the post "Undelivered Congratulation" by "inpefess"
about problems sending e-mails from Proton Mail. 
In his post from Jan 19, 2020, I read that Russia bans some popular
internet sites, such as GitHub and LinkedIn.
This is very un-democratic.
I, OTOH, live in a democracy, and Whatsapp is very popular in the
country. I do not like the pressure to join the Wave and install
that chat application. I hate when people tell me that I live in
the 21st century though the 21st started without smartphones.
Banning Whatsapp would suit my liberal views because when it is
illegal I can just be free not to have it.
