Applying for a Job via Whatsapp

I saw today that someone has published job offers asking people
to send him or her a Whatsapp message if they want to apply for a job.
I don't believe that people should install Whatsapp if they want to 
apply for jobs.
Unfortunately, I cannot add a link because the message is visible to
the relevant LinkedIn group only.
I hope that the job publisher will receive my fax.
