Closing my Amazon Account ========================= I have an account with Amazon. I seldom used that account of mine, but the other day I got interested in a new battery for my dumb-phone. I found it there, but when I tried to login they sent me an https link to complete the signing-in process. It was not something like a 6-digit code, but a link. Trouble is that I do not use the phone to browse the web. I tried to contact their support via e-mail, but in the response they asked me that I contact Amazon Customer Service directly, and for that I have to sign in and get the link again. I tried to complain via the Better Business Bureau but got the following from bbb@amazon.com: I'm sorry for the inconvenience you experienced in this case. I request you to write back confirming the exact error you are facing while trying to login to your amazon account. You may attach screenshot of the error page so that I can investigate further. Go back to grammar school, and learn reading comprehension! There's no error! I replied that the problem is that they send me links to a phone from which I cannot browse, but now I do not get any response from Amazon. I'm afraid that what they are going to do is just ignore my complaint. So much for customer service! If I copy the link to the browser's address bar, it will be for closing my account. I do not understand how comes I see in "hissingkitty.com" that the their BBB rating is A+. Anyway, they have the following physical address: 410 Terry Ave. North, Seattle WA 98109-5210 United States I do not suggest contacting them by phone becasue you might wait long on the line.
