Public Transport Protest ======================== So, the light rail has started operating in Tel Aviv, the Israeli Big Apple. Some activists who want the train to be available of Sabbath have handcuffed themselves inside the train for more than two hours. I've read somewhere that they had been handcuffed even for 3 or 4 hours. Wow! Don't they have to go to the toilet? I have no idea for how long they will keep fighting for freedom that way, but I don't feel that someone who protests enjoys freedom. I've signed a petition because where I live there is a problem with public transport: buses have been cancelled at some station. There is another petition for operating the light rail on Saturday. The latter petition gains more and more signatures, while the one I've signed is stuck. Why? I feel that public transport is more important on week-days.
