Social Media, Victims, Responsibility ===================================== I really don't like when someone complains about a social network banning them, so they cannot communicate via a TikTok or Facebook or WhatsApp. People cannot just accept that the social network is a private company and that they can ban some users violating the rules. I'm cool with it if the user does not pay. Let it be. Some say that businesses lose money and customer, and are being shut down because of bans, so the social networks should be liable for the losses. When I claim that the paying users should check the contract law, my response is not good enough. One wrote me that the town square is free, and no one bans me from going there for expressing my opinions. But people actually pay for the squares via their municipal taxes or parking fees. I'm learning some courses; one of them is CompTIA Network+. I learn there something else about responsibilities: a serious business must be prepared for incidents for example with redundant devices. Get yourself an SLA (Service Level Agreement), Make a contingency plan. Find the way to notify customers when you are banned, and offer other means of communication. If you go to a court of law because of a ban be prepared to the question you may be asked there. They will probably ask you about contingency plans and alternate means of communication.
