By: Linda Date: June 21, 2024, 6:36 pm --------------------------------------------------------- I can see that wood WOULD remind you of your Dad Darien, that makes sense and it's a good memory. I'm sorry that Dan has all this worry and all of you of course are concerned. Kids are expensive these days, so much more so than when I was a kid. I'm sure Dan and Bonnie will work it out. #Post#: 46277-------------------------------------------------- Re: The end of the washing machine .. By: Moira Date: June 22, 2024, 3:42 am --------------------------------------------------------- I love wood too and always wanted to live in a wood cabin.... Close to that now but the wood is painted white :) Dan, Bonnie etc are all at Sarah's house ( where we house sat a year or so ago ) having dinner and watching some rugby final... John has switched it off here as he says the REF. is rubbish !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!![emoji15] I hope they are not drinking beer /wine too as it is not a good road to drive on at night in the dark !!!!!!!!! Sorry I had to put that as the thought ... is bothering me ! !!!!!!! Nice to see you here Linda :)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))) #Post#: 46288-------------------------------------------------- Re: The end of the washing machine .. By: DarienJ Date: June 22, 2024, 3:22 pm --------------------------------------------------------- I am sure neither Dan or Bonnie would drive while over the limit, especially if they have the kids with them. Is your place wood Moira? I had forgotten that if you ever said it before!! #Post#: 46299-------------------------------------------------- Re: The end of the washing machine .. By: Moira Date: June 23, 2024, 4:19 am --------------------------------------------------------- Hmmm not sure IF it IS wood ... it LOOKS like wood and feels like wood but maybe it has some synthetic stuff in it. I would have to look up the construction papers in the ..... drawer maybe tomorrow :) Dan and Bonnie are good when it comes to driving at night or when out with friends. It was JUST me as I Had to write it down ..... !!!!!!! OK Odd I Know but it made me feel better ! They got back about 9:30PM after the rugby and they had chicken fried rice for dinner ........... according to Jack :) #Post#: 46310-------------------------------------------------- Re: The end of the washing machine .. By: DarienJ Date: June 23, 2024, 3:52 pm --------------------------------------------------------- I can't remember what your wee house is made of, so yes, look it up so we can remember [emoji5] I'm glad to hear they all arrived hom safe and sound and had chicken fried rice for dinner [emoji1] Robert makes the best fried rice and any type of stir fry in his authentic wok. #Post#: 46319-------------------------------------------------- Re: The end of the washing machine .. By: DarienJ Date: June 24, 2024, 4:34 pm --------------------------------------------------------- I will have to look at some of the photos you have put up and have another look at your place as I didn't realise it was done in colorbond. The second site you put up sent me to some design ideas for wallpaper and paneling. Some of the ideas were lovely. #Post#: 46338-------------------------------------------------- Re: The end of the washing machine .. By: Moira Date: June 25, 2024, 3:41 am --------------------------------------------------------- I put up the one page showing the white wood looking walls. At least I thought I DID ! I will try again on FB. #Post#: 46346-------------------------------------------------- Re: The end of the washing machine .. By: DarienJ Date: June 25, 2024, 4:20 pm --------------------------------------------------------- I just went back to the site and found the white wall, they called it Beaded Shiplap, I do like walls like that and I have similar panelling in my lounge room, but it only goes half way with a dado rail on top. We did that many years ago now and I love it....my idea, of course [emoji5] The one thing I have always wanted in my home was a Butlers Pantry. Many years ago, when we lived in Sydney, we went to a new home exhibition place and I fell in love with a new home that was done in an older style and it had one AND a large walk in pantry!!!!! We could never have afforded it of course, but as you say Moira, "dreams are free". #Post#: 46354-------------------------------------------------- Re: The end of the washing machine .. By: Moira Date: June 26, 2024, 4:18 am --------------------------------------------------------- I love the look of the white walls BUT when I walk around and I still have my glasses on ........................ I cannot help seeing the dirty fingermarks on the cupboards, drawers and loo door !!!!!!!!!!! I might as well walk around with a damp soapy cloth to clean them............ NOT forgetting the fridge door too as it is also white ! I Am trying to think if we ever had a Walk in Pantry .. we did have a Walk in Wardrobe in Perth..... and I am sure Yar had one in the old house in Leeds where she and Mum were brought up and where we ( Mum, me and Ange. ) did stay for a few months when I was 5 while Dad was in Germany ! Yes Yar did have one and the more I think about it the more I can picture it in her kitchen at one end :) It was dark and had shelves on either side :) No windows in it :) ***************************************************** (DIR) Previous Page (DIR) Next Page
