Perhaps the memory of whatever it is will come back to you.
Robert's sleep apnea has nothing to do with drinking, it usually
doesn't as it's a medical thing, but snoring can be caused from
excess drinking. That doesn't necessarily mean that snoring and
sleep apnea go hand in hand. Sleep apnea is when you actually
stop breathing in your sleep and the amount of times in an hour
will tell how severe it is. Good grief, listen at me talking
like an expert now about sleep apnea, mind you I have learnt a
lot about it over these past few weeks [emoji4]

John was diagnosed with sleep apnea in Perth ... officially
diagnosed ... as he had been having problems for many, many
years and it was always made worse when he was drinking ! Now
he is supposed to go get checked every year ... and last night
I had to keep prodding him to turn over and breath properly as I
was awake with my own blocked nose for ages !!!!!!!!!!! Maybe it
was the A/C heating again ???????????????
Even my nose drops did not work for ages as I could not breathe
them in up my nose ! I had to sit propped up on 2 pillows until
they worked and I finally got back to sleep around 8am
.........after John got up and I spread out as usual and slept
       for 2 hours !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I used to hate it when Robert stopped breathing in his sleep and
he stopped many times per hour. He used to have to stop in his
car and have a nap sometimes it affected him so much. Since
using the machine he has been 100% better, but I don't think
it's working as efficiently as it once did and he needs a new
one. He is due to have another test done and a new machine.
Sometimes it is hard to breathe up the nasal sprays with a
blocked nose. Perhaps what you should do when that happens, is
to use steam to unblock your nose. The old fashioned towel over
your head with a bowl of hot water and vicks in it, or
eucalyptus oil, and breathe it in. That works all the time
       ((((((((((((((((((((Moira))))))))))))))))))))

Been there and done that many, many times to unblock my nose
.... but in the early hours and in the cold ... I could not be
bothered actualleh getting up to do it the other night BUT It
       did cross my mind !!!!!!!!!!!!!
NO problem again last night !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That sleep apnea and not breathing was always worse when John
was drinking but it does not happen so often now !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do you feel when you are going to have a blocked nose before you
go to bed? Or is it only when you wake up through the night with
one? If you can feel it coming on is the time to take the steam,
before you go to bed. Easier said than done though sometimes. I
believe you said many years ago that you had a crooked septum,
like I have, and that is no doubt the cause of your nose being
       blocked.

Yes I do have a deviated septum that apparently causes my bunged
up nose and sinus problems. It seems to happen mostly once I am
in bed so maybe I think I might snuggle down under the covers !
No bother last night either :)
IF it is bad sinus and I do feel blocked up during the day then
I DO the steam and Olbus Oil thing to get relief :)

That's a good thing about the Cpap machine, if I have a blocked
nose, the air pushes through and I can breathe well. I know
that's what I do too, snuggle down under the Duvet with only the
       top of my head out.

I slept in this morning, woke up at 7.40!!!!!! Half the morning
is gone!!! I now feel like I am behind the 8 ball and I have
sheets and towels to wash and it's bloody raining again
[emoji31] I have woken up with a sore throat too. I hope it's
just because my mouth was dry as the machine ran out of water,
it uses a lot of water, I am constantly adding more water to it.
Robert's doesn't use as much water.
