I am on the lowest dose of Minipress, only 2mgs and I started
the extra dose this morning, so far so good. I will give my body
a week to get used to the extra dose and then I will start on
the new BP med next Saturday. I had a ECG while at his surgery
on Tuesday, all was well. I meant an ultrasound on my heart to
make sure it's pumping alright and there are no leaks etc.
I can't access my results for the scan until a week later, it's
how the system works from where I get my scans, so I will read
my results on Tuesday. I wouldn't call it ageing when I was only
in my early 40s when I was constantly having tests done and it's
       been ongoing since then really.
Even if the heating isn't on a high heat temperature, it still
cause nasal problems, blocked nose being the main culprit. It's
the dry warm air it pumps out unfortunately

As long as you know what you are taking and by now you seem to
be more knowledgeable than a doctor ... or medical people in
       general ! [emoji170]
Maybe you can call it Meno ? Just kidding :)
Had the heating on a while last night too and I had no problem
last night BUT I did have a spray of Flixonase .... its the
medical nasal spray so I can only use it for so long ! The
other spray I use is Fess .. its non medical or whatever so I
have a spray every night before I get into bed ... same as Linda
has done for many years :) !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am sure we have talked of this before !

I spoke too soon as the extra dose certainly lowered my BP and I
kept getting dizzy, especially when I moved quickly or got
up!!!!! It settled down by about lunch time, but as I didn't
sleep at all well the night before, I believe that aggravated it
all. We shall see today as I slept well last night [emoji4]
Yes we have spoken of the nasal sprays you use a few times and
you know what one is best used for you and when. I have found
since I have been on the Cpap machine, even if one side of my
nose is blocked, the machine pushes air into my nose easily and
I have no problems that way at the moment.....there are Moira,
       there is your answer [emoji12]

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I don't want to use a Cpap machine !!!!
I am sure I had one for a while when we lived in Marton...
1986-1996 !!!!! Something to do with my breathing too !!!!!!!!!
Bugger ! I DID Not like it then I DO remember !
I also had one in Perth too .... ?????
SO did your extra dose make you dizzy because it LOWERED your BP
too fast ? or was it the fact that it took a longer time to
       work ? ((((((((((((Darien)))))))))))))))))))

Yes, the extra BP med I take now of the Minipress, which I have
been on for a while now, lowered my BP too quickly, it is
'known' for doing that apparently. Yesterday wasn't quite as
bad, but enough to prevent me doing things again. We'll see how
it goes today. I'm glad I listened to the Pharmacist and not
started taking the extra dose in the morning and the new one as
well in the evening along with my normal evening Minipress. She
advised me to start the new one next week as it will give my
body a chance to adjust to the increase of this week!!!
I honestly don't remember you ever having a machine at night,
nor you having a sleep study done. That doesn't mean it didn't
happen, just that I honestly don't recall it. I forget way too
       many things these days!!!!!

I did a 24 hour or maybe it was a 48 hour sleep thingy one time
with a machine in Perth and also in hospital one time ..
Hollywood Hospital as we had Private health ! I think !!! I give
up as I cannot remember really.
That additional pill sounds scary to me

I was much better yesterday, so my body is adjusting to the
increase in my dose much better now. I hope it goes as well next
week when I start the Perindopril.
I didn't sleep as well last night as my machine was making a
noise and it was keeping me awake, so I turned it off and ended
up sleeping most of the night without it!!!! When it made the
same noise last week and I had my appointment at Pacific Sleep,
the woman there adjusted the machine. She said it was due to
condensation and humidity. I don't know how to adjust it!!!!!!
If it does it again tonight I'll have to call them and try and
sort it as I don't see them this week as I see Steven Cala, my
Lung Specialist, on the day, Thursday, that I normally see them.

I don't sleep well normally at any time ... so the machine I
needed did not really help as it kept me awake more than
anything else ! If YOUR machine makes a noise of course it will
not help you sleep ! I was so aware of the machine it did not
help me at all. I was thinking about it last night and I Am
sure I DID tell you this way back when !!
It is not normal to have a machine up your nose or wherever so
you WILL have to get used to it ... eventually ! Keep trying

What I ended up doing was emptying some of the water out of the
tank and it stopped the noise, so I had the mask on all night
without a problem. Tha nasal mask I have is not too bad and I
have adapted to it quite quickly, it's just a matter of sorting
the finer details out and getting used to it. This is the mask I
use and they certainly aren't cheap, so it had better last a
       long time!!!!!!!!

Robert doesn't sleep normal either, but when he does sleep, it
does help his sleep apnea, his is severe while mine is only
moderate. Mine is mainly to maintain my oxygen saturation during
       sleep.
I honestly don't recall you ever using a Cpap machine, but like
I said, my memory is unreliable.

Something about the Tank makes me think once again of Marton
.....BUT John says he cannot ever remember any machine or any
water tank or any sleep help machine or mask ever ..........
but I have a vague memory and it is bugging me !!!!!!!!
       !!!!!!!!!!
Thankfully John's sleep apnea is not so bad nowadays as he is
not drinking and it was always worse when he WAS drinking lots !
