A little bit about crawl spaces.
How Are Crawl Spaces Bad
Believe it or not, crawl spaces are a decent option for seeking
shelter during a tornado. However, it is not the most
recommended option. Because a crawl space is an area between the
ground and bottom floor of your home, there is a lot of
potentials for damage to be done and this could reduce your
safety. Keep in mind that the plumbing and electrical that are
connected below that first layer of your home are often exposed.
If damage to the home occurs, these pipes could break and cause
you to harm if you are in the crawl space.

HELP I Am moving tomorrow [emoji15][emoji12]
I read a similar article too Linda ! We do have electrical lines
from one end of the granny flat and they do run underneath ! WE
also have the plumbing thing at the back of the unit !!
Today the big black and white cow got out from under the
electric fence ... somehow and ended up trying to eat my plants
at the front here before we spied her just as it was getting
dark !!!!!!!!!! John went out with the brush to shooooo her away
but Dan was not home so he could not do much re: the electric
fence ! Hence the cow is still out at almost 10PM. She has had a
go at chewing my baby leek plants and potato plants in big pots
at the end of the granny flat !
I rang Dan when he got home and he said ................ " She
is ready for the knackers yard so Shoot her " !!!! The dogs did
absobloodylutely NOTHING to help !
Must be bed time now so I will probably be awake listening
.................. !!!! Bugger the Tornado it will be the cow
keeping me awake !!!!!!!!

OH MY, all you needed was for the cow to get loose and eat your
pretty things..............DARN!! [emoji20]
Whenever I hear about crawl spaces it makes me think about the
serial killer here way back in the 70's or thereabouts. He had
a home in Chicago and it had a crawl space and it's where he
buried the bodies of the young men he killed. I think you'd
better stay out of your crawl space, it doesn't sounds safe to
me.

I was reading that a bathtub is a good place to be in a tornado
but I know you don't have one...........does Dan? Even if he
did, you couldn't all fit in it. Does Dan have a crawl space
under his house?

I have absobloodylutely no idea what you are talking about, so I
will stay out of it.
As for the cow escaping, I would be furious!!! I've said it
before and I'll say it agin, you have a lot more patience than I
do!!!!

I was thinking last night and to my mind a Crawl space was
always a space under the roof ... as our RAF houses in my youth
always had an attic to keep your luggage and stuff and that is
where you were suppose to crawl to get inside as the roof was
low !!!!!!!! The RAF houses had big lofts and you usually had a
ladder or a rope ladder to get up into them !!!!!!!! We used to
play in one or two !!
Your Crawl Space killer is a horrible story Linda ! Did he get
caught and hanged ??????????? I Hope so !
Yes Dan and Bonnie do have a bathtub in their private bathroom.
Greta's favourite place ! She hates showers ! NO crawl space
under Dan's house either ... as far as I can see !
THE COW is still out and doing its own thing eating all the
fresh grass ............ Right by my car is a pile of cow sh**
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Good job I saw it before I got into the
car this morning to go shopping !

The space under the roof would be called an attic here. Yes,
John Wayne Gacy was caught and I think maybe electrocuted. He
lived in Waterloo before moving to Chicago and he worked here at
a Kentucky Fried Chicken, about 3 blocks from our house. He
only murdered young men but quite a few of them I fear. He was
a horrible man.
Darien is right, you DO have more patience than I would have.
The cow would kind of be my last straw I think. I keep thinking
of all of that cow POOP all over the place. HELP!

What an absolute psychopath!!!! All those poor young men, surely
it would have smelled [emoji848] Glad he was caught in the end,
justice for the young men and their families.
I know that it's Dans property, but surely he can keep the cows
in for you. I really don't think he does enough for you and John
at times.

I will have to look up the name of that psychopath as I have
never heard of it :)
The cow went back behind the electric fence or maybe Dan got up
in the early morning and put it back before I got up !!!!!!!!!
IT IS back behind the fence but it IS a big cow and apparently
they do not feel the electric fence as badly as a younger cow
would !!!!!!!!!
SO now you learn something about cows :))))))))))))))))))))))

That makes sense I suppose as the older they the more fat they
develop and their hide thickens. Hopefully it will stay in place
and not escape again. The livestock is Dan's responsibility and
if you had been a neighbour, Dan would have had to pay
compensation for any damage caused!!!!!

I agree Darien but Dan is bothered about Greenfern ATM so I will
not hassle him !
According to John now almost 10PM and 3 of the cows are out so
methinks maybe the electric fence is not even working !!! The
end road gates to the main house are closed so they can not go
far...... and I have my vegies and plants safely closed off ! I
THINK !
