The cows are all back in their own paddocks today .. I think
Corry collected his and fixed his fence so hopefully it will be
more peaceful tonight :)
Yes I DO miss having a garden BUT IT is Winter and it does seem
to rain a lot here.... so at the moment I can cope :) I have
planted some more Spring bulbs but nothing seems to be happening
!

I hope the fence mending lasts and that will be the last time
for runaway cows.
If you have planted some more spring bulbs, of course nothing is
happening yet, it's way too early!!!!!!

Yes I do know my Spring bulbs are not ready YET BUT the Poppy
seeds I sowed a while ago are all flowering and getting wind and
weather blown !
Also when driving back from Whanganui the other day I spied
quite a few bunches of daffodils in various gardens along the
road !

It does depend what type of bulbs you have planted and there are
some types of Daffodils, the smaller varieties, that flower in
winter. They will come up when they are ready.

OH I did not know that about the different kinds of bulbs ! I do
have some other bulbs coming up but no labels on them so I have
no idea what they are ... a Surprise :)

Ah.... but what a lovely surprise that will be [emoji7] I only
have Hyacinth and Daffodil bulbs, but I am thinking of getting a
few more, I love Irises and there are so many varieties of them.

Mine are also mainly Hyacinth and Daff. bulbs and some Crocus
too :) I did have Iris bulbs in Helensville and they grew well
too :)

I have a large pot that I had a rhodadendrum in, I have been
thinking of putting some different bulbs in that and now would
be the time to plant them as we don't get frosts here. That
might be a plan to do this week some time.

I remember seeing your photo of your Rhododendron bush once upon
a time :) What happened to it ? I have never grown them so I
know nothing about them :)

I ended up throwing it out. I had had it for about 20 odd years
in a pot and I believe it eventually got fed up with being
contained in a pot. It was looking sick and tired, but I didn't,
or rather couldn't be bothered, putting it in the ground.
Perhaps I should have, but they can get out of hand in the
ground!!!!
