just sitting back tonight a bit stuffed and reading posts
I reread this one from the beginning and SPIKE mentions the jred
2050 being a rebadged partner which one please
I have a 2050 turbo that was straight gassed, been watching for
piston and rings My mate grabbed it for me for 2 bucks at a
       garage sale
Have not taken the barrell off yet but viewed through the
exhaust port she is black and grey streaks
Advice from magnus was not to sink to many dollars into it,just
got the air cleaner for it I have had it on the shelf for a few
years one day it will get done

P490/P510 (not P500), but not a streight rebadging. The Husky 49
also is pretty much the same saw.

:D My first Partner saw ( which is also my first chainsaw ) is
       a 5000 that's all it says I am sure its not a 5000+
I have had this saw about 3 weeks now , I found it in a charity
shop being sold for spares or repair, it had a few bolts missing
from the casing's and looked like it had been neglected by it's
previous owner , It only cost me $10 a bargain .
An hour or 2 cleaning and finding new bolts she's all good :)
runs vary well and starts good and I have given it a vary good
workout doing about 5meters of Manuka (a New Zealand hardwood )
and it hasn't missed a beat.
Not a vary common saw over here and i hadn't heard of it before
the other week, I am presuming it was made around 1980 from what
i have read here and on chainsaw collectors.

think you will really like out they cut. I've owned the 550
       versions.

Is there any hope of finding a complete recoil starter for a
       P100/McCulloch 1000?
I have located one that runs but you have to start it with a
       drillmotor. Bar/chain looks to be .404" x 24".
