New to me Poulan 3800 I acquired off of CL yesterday. Price
wasn't too bad and seems to start, run, and oils the chain well
and is pretty good shape. In my opinion if the decals are
legible, it's in VG shape. I will need to break it down and see
how the fuel lines are, air filter looks like clean OEM Gray
color, and though it came with two chains it has what looks like
the original chain installed that has the anti-kickback depth
rakers on both sides of the rails. It has been years since I've
seen one of those factory installed safety chains. Plan on
changing out the chain, grease the drum bearing, grease bar tip
       and should be ready.

Nice old saw there RevPop. The Countervibes make great saws
and are easy to work on and maintain. They are some of my
       favorite Poulans.
That is pretty cool that you even have the operators manual.

Ha Ha, the owner's manual says do not throw away! I guess the
       previous owner listened...

Will need to set up a YouTube account as I am a Noob to posting
videos. I looked but only see a couple videos of the 3800 and
one is Cut-n-for-fun's video I think done for sale and one other
guy's 3800 sawing a log test. Lots of 3400 videos.

Poulan 3800 in baseball bat type hard dried ash. 3/8 chain LGX I
think. Tested 3 saws that day with same new chain. Not sharpened
new dull out of box loop.
3800 and echo 6700 are on same playing field IMO of the 3
       tested.
