Chy, really nice torches you have!
I use a much larger torch to braze silver solder when I replace
the tungsten tips on my stump grinder teeth. Pretty tiring after
awhile especially with the heavy hoses.
I know aluminum isn't used for tune pipe construction and the
only lightweight metal that can be used is titanium.
Some day we may see a way to cast some kind of aluminum alloy
       for tune pipes.

Hi Holmen, thank you for comment.
Seems you do good brazing job now and then, wish to see some
pics of your works, since I did not have any experiences of this
       kind.
And yes, I agree Holmen, I do not think aluminum is applicable
material for tuned pipes at least at this point unless we are
able to find a better heat-resistive aluminum alloy.
My calculation for this Echo twin was like this showing below,
have estimated the max temperature of exhaust gas to be nearly
500 degrees Celsius at 11000 rpm.
Thought this temperature might affect aluminum to degrade its
       quality.

Let me see. The cylinder is aluminum and the piston is aluminum
and the crank case is magnesium which is similar to aluminum
       when tig welding.

So do you reckon this temperature does not affect the material?

I do not know without trying. I was just pointing out that
there is a lot of aluminum already used on the saws and it seems
to stand up to the temperatures pretty good. Now with that
said the thin material that is used for making a pipe might not
hold up as well but with out trying it I do not know. The
tuned pipes by their design seem like they would dissipate heat
fairly well and there are no restrictions to build up heat.

       This sounds reasonable 3000FPS,
and one thing came on my mind is that I may perhaps dissipate
excessive heat by adding some pieces of aluminum heat sink on to
the outer surface of the exit part. I have several types of them
in hand, hope they will help.

With all the research I did over the years I understood that
aluminum cracks easy and weakens greatly at the high heat in the
       header pipe.
Plus aluminum loses the heat too quickly, when you want heat to
stay in a pipe for best performance.
Here's a pic from 1988 when I insulated my tune pipe on my YZ
bikesaw to speed up warm ups and making the best power for the
       cold start with 3 cuts.

Consider shortening the pipe if you use aluminum as the EGT will
be a bit lower and its effective rpm will be at a lower rpm.

To this. Need to get a couple more boxes and envelopes to be
       able to finish it up.
