The staffing issue is what I was really thinking about also. I
know a lot of the employees at the Great Escape are not from the
area. Hopefully they are able to figure something out and
       salvage part of the season.

I hope so too- I'd hate to see the park closed for the year.

Amusement parks in New York fall under the last phase of opening
(phase 4) which wouldn't come until July 11th at the earliest.
And that's IF the numbers cooperate - if they don't, that July
11th date is just going to get pushed back. The lodge would fall
under phase 3, 2 weeks earlier than July 11th.
The sad reality is there are going to be parks across the
Northeast that don't even find it worthwhile to open this year
just like Funtown Splashtown in Maine. On top of being forced to
put attendance caps on the parks, these parks literally have no
idea who or how many people are going to show up this year. On
top of that, these parks that rely on foreign workers are going
to have a tough time staffing a full park.

I didn't know exactly how NY was looking at their reopening. you
mentioned the hotel could reopen sooner but it's like
Campgrounds in Nh which are opening this month they can't open
       their pool areas.
We're talked about foreign workers on the Whalom Forums also
sine a few local parks tend to bring then in for the summer to
       fill in staffing.
but I've heard the chain plans to require reservations to visit
so that they can limit the numbers each day.

Edit: There was confusion on whether the New York lockdown had
been extended beyond May 15 or not, but it was clarified in the
media that that "lockdown" was not extended, but the "state of
emergency" was. I had posted saying the GE opening was going to
be pushed back even further but I was wrong. Sorry!

At this point, we can really only share what we're hearing and I
think everyone knows that whats seemingly right oen day may be
       wrong the next.
Just keep the updates coming they are very much appreciated.

Still absolutely nothing going on at park. I don't see the ride
itself anywhere and I've been looking at usual dirt area daily.
Definitely excited to see some work started.

What are the work restrictions in NY? Pretty much all of New
England has a nonessential work stop and that includes major
construction projects. Many small roofers and what not have
       continued to work but
