Depending on the weather I would guess frostbite is a very real
possibility. We rode Nitro this last Saturday. It was about 40
degrees and windy. It was damn cold especially in the front.
LOL Of course it is no crazier than those polar bear people
that go in the ocean at Coney Island on New Year's Day every
       year!!

Ya, but when you do a Polar Bear plunge you are in for a bit
sometimes just a very quick dip and your out covered in a warm
towel and there are often bonfires and heaters set up to warm
you afterward. Seems a little less risky

Took a last minute trip to the park Yesterday as they have been
doing a special with the Thrill Passes.
and got my first ride on Houdini's Great Escape. That ride was
insane. I could see that ride just go and go, or be gone in 5
       years tbh.
Along with an eh ride on Green Lantern, and more enjoyable ride
(albiet after a breakdown) on Superman (I didn't feel as much
pain in my skull, but I did you know where oddly). Both of those
waits weren't very long, even with 1 train ops
Was thinking about Joker but I think Houdini was enough spinning
       for an unexpected trip.
Skull Mountain's queue was nearly full, its usually a station
wait or so (so long that it was dark by the time my train
dispatched). No changes if anyone was wondering.
Another long wait for Nitro w/ 2 trains. We were talking to an
older New York/New Jersey couple who had just gotten to the park
and had also gone to Nitro.
I felt a mid-train ride on Nitro at night, it just felt like it
was not the 1, but it was airtime-filled (still had a bit on the
drop). I don't think I've had that much airtime on the ride
       before.
I do want to upgrade to a Season Pass if I plan to go up to
SFNE. My mom has the Amtrak card so I might be able to get
something off that and take Amtrak (albeit switching in New
Haven) pretty much to there and back (would just need to figure
out lodging for the Friday and Saturday, can take a Lyft/Uber or
can meet with my cousins Mackie and her BF Justin).

       Sounds like a fun day.
So you really liked Houdini but they its going to leave? Why is
that? The ride's illusion obviously still works because you
mentioned if game you enough spinning

Six Flags left the ride SBNO before, so it wouldn't surprise me
that it might be a ride that might be on the chopping block. I
would put Twister and Joker above it on my list of rides to take
out. I'm sure they could fit the Go-Karts behind Green Lantern
and the parachutes without hindering the backstage traffic if
they were to do anything with the simulator building location.
They can move the basketball to the paint ball building site
(the "blockade" between the carousel and the tents). It would at
least remove an eye sore and make it easier to convert to a path
if they want to move that again for some reason.

Looks like Great Adventure will end its season on January 1st,
2021, despite that being a Friday and could open on 1/2 and 1/3.
I feel this could be a cost cutting measure because of other
parks, such as New England (their HitP attendence) and Magic
Mountain (to cover their expenses on West Coast Racers and
       expansion of their event).
I haven't heard if National Park will open again, I'll say
unlikely if they get a kids area expansion for 2021.

Ya, but you figure they would just not open up that Friday.

SFNE is listed open thru Sunday 1/3 so maybe that is just a
       calendar error and will change
