Might try and get up to New England for opening weekend of first weekend of August. Ignoring Flashback, Goliath, Great Chase, and Hurricane Harbor regardless. Based off that, I would say Viper would be my 100th and either King (a Schwarzkopf traveling coaster at Foire du Trone, a carnival/state fair type event in Paris held in April and May) or Zeus at Parc Astrix (depends if Sandy is open by the 22nd of the next month). I will detail a more detailed extent of my study abroad in the fall. #Post#: 1658-------------------------------------------------- Re: The Never Ending Pointless Thread By: Mrceagle Date: January 5, 2020, 10:09 pm --------------------------------------------------------- So are you skipping those rides at SFNE to control what will be your 100th? #Post#: 1660-------------------------------------------------- Re: The Never Ending Pointless Thread By: Pineracer Date: January 6, 2020, 11:00 am --------------------------------------------------------- Great Chase is a kiddie coaster and I wouldn't be mad not getting the boomarangs as I'd probably come back up next when the park gets a new coaster (maybe a year after that). I don't care about water parks, and I want to ride Cyborg and Supergirl if its open on my visit (might try to go opening weekend, might wait til August). Based off my updated list, crossing my fingers the Sandy is operating on 2/22 (not really needed to get there tbh-but still), Viper at Darian Lake would be number 100 and my first ride of that day. If Sandy's down that day, I'll just ride Tantrum first just because that's a low capacity ride. Best case scenario, which includes Flashback and Goliath, is 118 (+57), w/o boomarangs 116 (+55, from a count of 64). I did throw in Howler at Holiday World and Bear Trax on that list as I have family who live near holiday world and they might be tall enough to ride with "an adult" and Bear Trax might be a bit of a whore-I do have Wild Waves (but not Kosmo's Curves even though I've been to Knoebels twice). Then the thing is with 2021 as it looks like it might end up being Zeus at Parc Astrix or one of the coasters at Foire Du Trone-which is a fair held in Paris from April til June, and that trip could end up dropping a +58, and still missing 5 major coasters (Trailbalzer-have seemed to never find the rides entrance, Wild Mouse-always busy, Sidewinder-which i've heard is a good boomarang, Fahrenheit-because I didn't ride a coaster with a vertical lift til Impulse in 2016 and IDK why not on opening day 2017, and Candymonium-obviously) plus Coca Cruiser and the Water Coaster-which doesn't count. #Post#: 1674-------------------------------------------------- Re: The Never Ending Pointless Thread By: Mrceagle Date: January 6, 2020, 5:02 pm --------------------------------------------------------- It sounds like quite the undertaking. I normally ride all the coasters I can get one. It's not a credit thing it's simply trying to take in as much as the park has to offer. some of the smaller family kidie ride can be more enjoyable then some of the bigger options at the park. #Post#: 1777-------------------------------------------------- Re: The Never Ending Pointless Thread By: depotrat Date: January 15, 2020, 12:02 pm --------------------------------------------------------- Our motto is "we ride 'em all - big and small" Sure there are tons of wacky worms and such out there but every once in a while you run into a kiddie coaster that is a hoot. The old Knoebels kiddie, High Speed Thrill Coaster, (gone but not forgotten) that was 200 ft long 18 feet high with a drop of 12 feet comes to mind as a kiddie coaster that was more fun than many full size coasters we have ridden over the years. #Post#: 1782-------------------------------------------------- Re: The Never Ending Pointless Thread By: Mrceagle Date: January 16, 2020, 12:51 am --------------------------------------------------------- I agree. I was very surprised by how enjoyable the wood kiddie coster at playland was. #Post#: 1803-------------------------------------------------- Re: The Never Ending Pointless Thread By: Pineracer Date: January 19, 2020, 10:07 am --------------------------------------------------------- I'm considering at this point been a blogger while I'm in Madrid in Spring 2021 for AIFS (the service I'm going through) because I feel my unique perspective being on the Autism Spectrum and thought process, alongside content for my channel. If that works out, I feel it would be better to promote it on the Facebook, but have it as a thread in the Misc chat (one for each blog, plus one for the vlogs). I'm just going to get a clearer bit on what my college needs from all of this the day after tomorrow in hopes that everything is signed off by the end of the semester (first full week of May). ***************************************************** (DIR) Previous Page (DIR) Next Page
