The dumbest one to me was this bartender/mechanic/streetracer side character in cyberpunk that they made trans and specifically had to put in the lore that she had no body mods. Why? because you can be whatever the fuck you want to be in the cyberpunk hellscape. They have that level of dystopian technology. She could have just decided to be a woman and nobody would have ever fucking known. It's so fucking stupid. The only way anyone knew is because they purposely shoved it in the lore and then put a trans sticker on her vehicle.

I had a tomboy, gruff metalhead lady in a romance novella I wrote. Two of my 'colleagues' immediately thought she was trans / in the closet. But they were actually pissed and called it cliche they had a crush the entire time on the protagonist.This is why I get my doomermodes :/
