Fedex finally delivered the Echo hedge clipper 4 days late .They
might have had to enlist the help of the pony express for all I
know.
Rebuilt the carb first thing .The SOB wouldn't pump gas .Took
the carb apart ,fiddled twiddled no go .It got dark so in the
house I go--mad .So I thought about it work --impulse hole .Sure
enough that was it .Fired it up and trimmed my hedge .All is
good on the western front . ;D

I got a craftsman leaf blower for free from work. It had low
compression down to 80 psi, so no way would it start.
Took the cylinder off and found the ring stuck in the groove
from carbon. I broke the ring loose and cleaned up the carbon,
and of course I had to widen the ports a little and and muff mod
it. Put it back together using the same ring and Yamabond to
seal the crank case. Blower works great and cost was zero.
You got to love it.

Oh yea. That is one of the side benefits of where I work. I
have about 3 weed wackers for free that just needed alittle
expertise to get working again. The last item I got free was a
Poulan 3400. The starter pulley is broke on it but that is
about it. Piston and cylinder looked great.

I get a lot of freebies myself .Generally it's a carb that needs
rebuilt .
Fact in the last 3 weeks,month I've gotten several weedwackers
blowers etc up and running .One is a Ryobe 31 cc wacker .Talk
about power for a week wacker .
I get the stuff for nothng ,tinker with them .Maybe use them a
short time and give them away to someone who needs but can't
afford to buy them .No skin off my nose,I always get more .

have a 2900 poulan on my bench. needs everything swapped over to
a donor tank assembly(craftsman). has been on my bench for 2-3
months, cooler weather I can get on it.

Cleaning saws did my 2152 yesterday. 660 today. Have a 372xpw to
split the case on locked up the big end rod bearing. Parts on
order. It is a buddy of mines saw. He and his guys are rough on
saws. I don't see them till they are smoked. Usually piston and
cylinders and sometimes bearing/ crank issues.

Received today. Is it bad that I just remembered I have a poulan
505 project saw still in the box it was shipped in unopened on
the kitchen table. :D :D :D :D So technically not on the
bench. :P
